First visit to the ER...

Well little one, tonight you had to take a trip to the ER... You didn't really mind, you just flirted with the nurse and cooed at the doctor. It was kind of amusing actually. You weighed 18 lbs 8 oz with your clothes on tonight! Your doctor was quite worried about you because you threw up some yellow stuff and had a weird messy diaper. Turns out you are healthy as ever and it was a false alarm. Mama was scared though, what they thought you had could have been very serious. Thank God you are ok!!!

On a brighter note, we are having quite the snowstorm... we probably have about three feet of snow on the ground right now. You are looking quite handsome in your snowsuits and hats... I can't wait to be able to put you in swim trunks and summer hats.. soon enough.

BRRRRRR!

O

Aren't they so sweet?
It has been an unusually cold and snowy January, or at least compared to recent years. Luke and Kai are both doing wonderfully. They are adjusting to having me back at work better than I am. I have been very busy with work since interest rates have dropped recently, so at least the days go by quickly. It is hard to try to find time to pump and all that jazz though. Just a quick post to share a couple of pictures. I have one child running at me frantically and the other starting to cry. I love being a mama, even in times like these.

Happy three months Luke!

So my baby is officially three months today. He is so cute and chubby andf loves to giggle and coo at me. I couldn't be more amazed at how adorable he is. I survived my first week back at work. It has been hard to make the change from at home to working mom, but I am going to live. I feel so much better knowing Luke is in good hands. I am going to take him to get weighed tomorrow... I bet he is close to 17 lbs. He has also started sleeping better at night this week. Maybe he just feels bad for me having to get up so early now. He has only been waking once a night to eat. Keep up the good work baby Lukidoodle!

Laughing baby!

So today is officially my last day as a stay at home mom. I am so sad I can't even express it. Hopefully it won't be forever. I got some more bad news when I found out that my foster kids are being moved. Ok, so they aren't mine, but they were from May to September (until I got too prego to handle it all), so they feel like mine. I wish so bad that I could handle keeping them, I would in a heart beat, but I just feel like it is way too much with work and my two boys. I am so sad for them to have to be uprooted once again. Their mom seems to be doing better, however, so hopefully they will be home in a few months. They are coming over tonight to visit, so hopefully I can get some cute pictures. I am always weary of posting pictures of them online though, so I will probably just keep them for now. On a positive note, Lucas laughed at me this morning, I mean really laughed. It was fabulous. I didn't think to video him doing it, so hopefully (I'm sure) he'll be doing it again soon. Oooh, baby waking up, post more later.

Going back to work...

So Tuesday is the day... my short stint as a stay at home mom has sadly ended. I knew it would be really hard, but I honestly had no idea I would take it this hard. I am so incredibly sad to leave my baby... I am going to miss so much being at work. It also doesn't help that I am not looking forward to going back to my job in general. I have so much to be thankful for though. The boys are not going to have to be in daycare at all... they will be with family all the time, so that is nice. I guess I am just selfish that I want them to be with ME.

We did have a very nice Christmas... the boys made out like bandits, not that I was surprised. As for Chad and I, we took it a little easy this year on gifts, which I think was fine with both of us. Mostly, we just enjoyed our families and especially our children. I am going to sound like a cheeseball, but the greatest gift I could have gotten I already had, and that was my family.
